Book online 24 hours ahead to skip the queue
Walk-up tickets are available at the gate for 300 THB. You can also book online in advance at watphobooking.com, at least 24 hours ahead, useful if you want to skip a potential queue. Multiple entrance gates exist around the complex, most visitors use the main entrance on Thaiwang Road, right next to the Reclining Buddha hall, or the Sanamchai Road entrance.

The temple's centrepiece is a 46-metre, gold-plated Reclining Buddha with mother-of-pearl inlaid feet, one of the most photographed single objects in Buddhist Thailand. Wat Pho is also recognised as the birthplace of traditional Thai massage, with a UNESCO Memory of the World listing for its medical knowledge inscriptions. The on-site massage school offers sessions from around 260 to 420 THB depending on duration and source, a 30-minute foot or Thai massage runs roughly 340 THB, a full hour around 520 THB.
